The Escrow Process
Buyer & Seller Agree
Buyer finds a product and agrees on price with the seller. They can negotiate through the platform or WhatsApp.
Buyer Pays to Escrow
Buyer makes payment to FarmLinkUp's secure escrow account. A small 0.5% fee is charged for escrow protection. The money is held safely - never directly to the seller.
Seller Ships Goods
Once payment is confirmed in escrow, seller ships the goods. Buyer receives tracking information.
Buyer Confirms Receipt
Buyer inspects goods upon delivery. If satisfied, they confirm receipt through the platform.
Funds Released to Seller
Upon buyer confirmation (or after 7 days automatically), funds are released to the seller.
7-Day Escrow Policy
Important: Understand the timeline
Automatic Release: Funds held in escrow will be automatically released to the seller after 7 days from payment confirmation, assuming the transaction is successful.
Your Responsibility: It's crucial that buyers inspect their goods promptly upon receipt. If there are any issues, you must raise a dispute within the 7-day window.
Dispute Window: If you haven't received your goods or there are quality issues, file a dispute before the 7 days expire. Once funds are released, recovery becomes much more difficult.
After 7 days, FarmLinkUp assumes the transaction was successful and releases funds to the seller.
